Technology Suites II Check Presentation and Ribbon-Cutting Event August 5, 2010 HCAR and its partners launched the Technology Suites II project during a check presentation and ribbon-cutting event. Guest speakers Congressman Tim Holden; Willie Taylor, Regional Director for the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration; and Dean Harold L. Paz, M.D., Chief Executive Officer of Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Senior Vice President of Health Affairs at Penn State and Dean of the Penn State College of Medicine discussed the significance of this expansion project in terms of health innovations, economic development and job creation.

ILSI-Biomed 2010 Conference June 14-16, 2010 Jack Atchason, HCAR Director of Business Development, traveled to Tel Aviv, Israel for the ILSI-Biomed Conference. The three-day event welcomed more than 5,500 attendees from 45 counties.

Starting a Life Sciences Venture in Central PA: From the Ground Up March 16, 2010 Stephanie Reisinger, Senior Vice President at ProSanos, a life sciences company based in Harrisburg, PA, shared information and lessons learned related to starting a life sciences venture by comparing and contrasting experiences and provided practical advice for anyone interested in starting a new life sciences venture in the region.

Students of Milton Hershey School toured the HCAR facility as part of their agenda for Innoventure 2007.	Wexford Science & Technology President, Jim Berens, explains the many reasons Hershey was chosen as the site of the Hershey Center for Applied Research.
David Black, President of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC, makes opening remarks before introducing the first speaker. Black, who has been involved in the project since its earliest days, also served as Master of Ceremonies for the groundbreaking.	Dr. Mel Billingsley, President of the Life Sciences Greenhouse of Central Pennsylvania, addresses the crowd. Billingsley and the Life Sciences Greenhouse will play an integral role in the growth and success of the Hershey Center for Applied Research.
